Over this weekend we released a new version of Cloud Portam. In the release we have continued the enhancements to storage account management functionality by adding detailed usage reports. This blog post talks about the enhancements we have done in this release.

Summary of Enhancements

  • Detailed usage reports including storage account size, bandwidth consumption and storage account transactions.

Rest of this post talks about these enhancements.

Detailed Usage Reports

In the previous release, we included the capability to view storage account size using Azure Billing API. In this release we have enhanced this capability by adding interactive charts, date range feature and other reports types.

For Azure Storage, you get billed for 3 things: Storage size consumed, Bandwidth egress and storage transactions. I am pleased to announce that now you can view all of these three things through Cloud Portam.

How to access

To access these reports, simply click/press on the storage account size link on the storage accounts dashboard.

In the current version, you can see report for last 7, 15 and 30 days. In the future versions, we will add the capability to define custom date ranges.
